How to get rid of bed bugs yourself.

While traveling all these years, one thing that pisses me off very much is when you pay for a decent hotel room and suddenly in the middle of the night you find bed bugs crawling out on you. I have had many instances like this and then even after changing the rooms I am unable to sleep just thinking of insects crawling over me. This was one of the reasons to know how to get rid of bed bugs.

I have experienced bed bug bites and they are pretty bad, always. So I make sure that the room I take up is free from any kind of bug infestations. Twice I have had pest control services in my home to treat bed bugs. I guess they made their way in through my luggage or the beddings I took along.

Removing them can be a real pain, though there is a lot of information available on how to get rid of bed bugs, it is tough to remove them. I have tried using the natural pesticides. It treats them pretty well but you have to be consistent in it use. Or the bed bugs will be back with their population and everytime they will be more immune to the pesticide.

That comes after reading a lot of information on how to get rid of bed bugs Washing with some pest control solution and sun drying are the few of the methods you can use for the mattresses. Even vacuum cleaning helps.

The first time it happened I had to call up the pest control services that specialized in how to get rid of bed bugs. I was too scared to try out anything else. Well you can treat bed bugs if you have a lil patience and you know what you are doing.

The hotel owners should be more careful about such infestations. It really gives a bad reputation to the customer, I never return to that hotel again. Well this is another travel rant which turned out to be a buggy one

Some basic travel tips

I am a frequent traveler traveling a lot. Infact I have been living up from my suitcase for the past 6 years now. It has been my lifestyle. It used to be odd before but now I am so used to it that it has become my second nature. I am more comfortable traveling than staying at home.

Through all these years I have traveled around 15 countries and countless cities. I am also fond of photography but that just came up to me recently when I bought the cannon DSLR. I am getting good at taking pictures. There are a few things you have to keep in while living a life out of suitcase and I know it from my experience.

Knowing about a place in advance helps, atleast you won’t feel lost on a new place. It does nt affect me anymore but you should always know about the place. The more you know the better it is. Always carry a map, if you can’t carry a map, you should better have it some clue about the direction s in your mind. I always read the map of a city if it is any new place I am going. Know the landmarks you are going to visit in the map.

Another thing that I find very important is about food. When out on a trip it is easy to consume bad food unless you know what is safe. I make it a point not to buy form any place where no one is eating. Easting from a popular place will ensure to some extent that you are having a freshly made food and if possible get the items which are served the most, or the specialty of that place. You can know this by asking about the help in menu from the waiter, chef or even at the counter. If you can follow this you can try different cuisines of various places without having to worry about getting ill. This is better than sticking to plain old burgers at Mcdonalds.
